Most vegetation indices combine **red** and **NIR** bands. Three to know: - **SR** — Simple Ratio, `NIR / Red`. First true VI. - **NDVI** — Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, bounded −1 to 1. - **EVI** — Enhanced Vegetation Index, corrects for atmosphere and soil; better in dense canopies.
