Wave model. EM radiation is a transverse wave traveling through vacuum at the speed of
light (c = 3 × 10⁸ m/s).
- The wave carries an electric field E and a magnetic field M.
- E and M are perpendicular to each other and both are perpendicular to the direction
of propagation.
