The **Inquire Box** is a resizable rectangle drawn on an image in ERDAS Imagine used to **subset** the scene — either interactively exploring pixel values or feeding *Subset & Chip → From Inquire Box* to write out a smaller file. - Different from the **Inquire Cursor**, which reports pixel values and geographic coordinates at a single point.
