**Inclination.** The angle at which a satellite crosses the equator. - **Near-polar orbit** — inclination close to **90°**. Example: Landsat 7 (~98.2°). - **Geostationary orbit** — inclination of **0°** (equatorial). Example: GOES weather satellites — sit above the equator at ~36 000 km.
